William Ham B.A (Hons)
William is a Consultant for Family Law Consultants. He qualified as a solicitor in 2008 and has specialised in Family Law ever since. William started his career working in Worcester, before moving to Coventry and most recently to Central Birmingham. His previous roles include Head of Family and a Legal Director for a large regional firm, prior to joining Family Law Consultants.
He is client focused and spends time listening in order to understand all the issues, before working out the best strategic approach. He's also a great believer in telling his clients what they need to know rather than what they want to hear.
William has represented a wide range of clients from High Net Worth individuals, whom have included Members of Parliament, Company Directors and other professionals to separated parents on modest incomes. He has also acted for a number of international clients and enjoys handling cases that have inter jurisdictional elements.
He spoke at the Westminster Education Forum on child protection issues during Covid-19 and has advised the BBC on a divorce storyline for The Archers in 2021-2022. He has also had legal articles published and has been featured on MailOnline and The Metro.
In his spare time William sits as a school governor at a local primary school where he chairs their Complaints Panel. He enjoys travelling, good food and music and is kept busy at home by his four daughters and small dog.
Client comments:
I highly recommend William Ham - put simply he is exceptional. Through one of the most stressful times in my
life (child arrangements) William supported me throughout with expert advice, insightful recommendations and
kindness. William is always fully prepared, happy to go the extra mile, quick to respond and puts your
family's best interests at the heart of his well-considered guidance. William also treats you like an equal,
simplifying legal terms and processes so you can always make an informed decision for your family. The final
outcome for my family was amazing which was down to William's hard work.
